Terram Geotextile
The MiniPak Terram Geotextile is available from our Aldershot store for use as separating layer under paving, pathways and patios. A massive 50m2 of fabric is available in a handy pack size that will fit easily into the boot of a car.
Geotextiles are permeable fabrics that protect aggregate bedding from intermixing with soil. Failure to protect against soil mixing with the bedding materials will result in a weakening of the bed and eventual failure of the path, paving or patio paving slab finish. For example: the load-bearing capacity of paving surfaces will be greatly reduced if fine-grained subgrade soil particles intermingle with the paving's granular sub-base.Terram Geotextile is now widely specified for permeable paving installations which are designed to prevent water run off from hard landscaped surfaces, thus reducing the chances of flooding while helping to replenish the water table.
